Who I am
Hi, my name is Dima and this is my developer showcase website. I started programming at the age of 13, mostly learning on my own by building websites, simple AIs, automation software, back-ends and more. I develop applications by targeting real problems and developing sustainable solutions. I am also curious about science and physics, always looking to apply my skills in those domains as well.
My technical skills:
My principles
I approach every project with three main principles which helped me develop quality applications:
- Understanding before abstracting: Designing and understanding the application before writing code is critical for reliable software
- Follow good practice: Composing clean, maintainable code and documentation is essential for long-term software support
- Never stop learning: Technology is changing fast and constant adaptation is important to keep up with it
When facing a new project or problem I...
- identify the problem and determine the goal
- discover the most fitting software architecture depending on factors at place
- split the work into multiple technical steps which can be solved feature by feature
While doing so, it becomes important to watch out for code readability, debug individual features and test the application even for rare edge cases to ensure reliability and best performance in production.
Showcased Projects
Stargazing Advisor
The stargazing-advisor is an application which... maps the astronomical and weather conditions of upcoming nights for you, anywhere on earth. One application gives you all the information you need to plan stargazing.
API Data Analysis Webpage
I developed this application during an internship...
The application retrieves complex data from an API and visualizes it
in interactible graphs and tables.
Demo is hosted without confidential data!
US State guessing game
A game where you can guess US States... and see where they are on a map after guessing correctly. The game is built using the standard python library and combines UI with data handling. It was developed as a part of a programming course on Udemy but with more basic libraries to suit the simplicity of the application.
Calculator Tutorial
Instructions for building a calculator... in Python which can be run in the console. The console calculator is a perfect beginner project and I use this repository for teaching programming fundamentals to beginners. This project educates about input validation, if-statements, loops and basic type conversions.
My plans for the future
Building applications and improving the world for me and the people around me is a genuine pleasure of mine and I plan to continue learning and trying out new things. For collaboration or other inquiries, you may contact me via my social channels. Currently exploring low-level programming and AI. I will update this page with the most authentic projects! Thank you for visiting!
